Albert Einstein said, “Everything that counts can’t necessarily be counted. Everything that can be counted doesn’t necessarily count.”

About Me

I am a forty-something outdoor nut, originally from Tennessee. I enjoy doing many things outdoors, such as boating, camping, hiking, fishing, stargazing, and just sitting under a tree, communing with nature. I also enjoy painting, carving, watching movies, hanging out with my family, traveling, and working with Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.

One of my proudest moments: graduation

from Boise State University

A shot of me fossil hunting in the Owyhees.

I have teaching certifications in Earth Science, Basic Mathematics, and Physical Science. I have been teaching for 2 years, both of them with the Meridian School District at Meridian Academy and now with Central Academy. I graduated from Boise State University with a Bachelor of Science in Earth Science.

I like to relax in my scoutmaster chair! Floating the Boise River.

This is a Scout trip to Silver City. Could we make a school field trip there someday, and

look at old-time mining?

I approach my teaching with the hope that I can help empower students to reach their potential. I will do all I can to help my students, and I expect the students to do all they can also. Together, we can achieve so much more than we can alone. My time at the Academy has given me a sense of family with my colleagues and students, and like a family, we should help each other in every way possible.
